Michael R. Burgett, P.E.

As CEO of Electrical Designs, Inc. (EDI), Michael Burgett maintains direct leadership over each engineering project. Having worked in the electrical engineering consulting field since 1978, Mr. Burgett's experience includes the design of petroleum facilities, high tech manufacturing, health care, commercial, hotels, institutional and industrial facilities.

Mr. Burgett has been involved in continuing education with respect to medium voltage relay coordination, National Electrical Code, Telecommunications/LAN, and power quality (U.P.S. systems, transient voltage protection, lightning protection. etc.) for the past fifteen years. His appointment as lead engineer and licensed electrical contractor for a design build firm specializing in petroleum facilities in Arizona, California, and Nevada further attests to his skills and experience. As the lead engineer, Michael was also responsible for the coordination of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering and for construction coordination. In the recent years, Mr. Burgett was responsible for a service upgrade, new generators, and enclosures to house this equipment for Banner Mesa (formerly Mesa Lutheran) Medical Center, Discover Card, and U.S. Food Service. Each of these multimillion dollar projects was “primed” by EDI for design.

Mr. Burgett has been instrumental in upgrading the design staff to be 3-dimensionally capable, with Revit by Autodesk and others; also the staff has been trained on SKM captor and dapper for short circuit and full coordination analysis, as well as AGI 32 illumination studies. EDI is using the most cutting edge programs and training for quality work.

Joel Rencsok, P.E.

Mr. Rencsok has over 35 years of both national and international experience in the electrical engineering field; twenty five of those years were in design, construction and plan review for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

On the International level, Mr. Rencsok spent two years as Senior Electrical Inspector for Chemsult Al Hoty in Saudi Arabia in charge of a $1.3 billion oil and gas refinery to assure compliance with all codes and standards acceptable to ARAMCO. While in Indonesia working for Mission Energy, he was directly responsible for code and standards compliance on a $1.67 billion coal-fired power plant’s electrical system. Closer to home, and just prior to joining EDI, Mr. Rencsok spent 19 years with the City of Phoenix as an Electrical Plans Engineer and Field Electrical Inspector. While employed for the City of Phoenix, he was responsible for the Sky Harbor Airport terminal expansion, several high rise buildings ranging up to 40 floors, wastewater treatment plants, and a few semi conductor industrial buildings for Motorola, Sitix, to name a few. As the IAEI representative, Mr. Rencsok served as the Chairman of NEC Code Panel-7 for the ‘96 and ‘99 code cycles.

Dwight Cocco, E.I.T., Designer

Mr. Cocco is primarily responsible for retail and office design engineering, he has on many occasions provided design work on various projects ranging from medical, semiconductor fabrication plants retrofits, aquatic facilities, restaurants, offices, data centers, and cellular sites for Nextel, Alltel, Crown Castle. Mr. Cocco has also spent a great deal of time doing process tool installation design for microelectronics plants. Mr. Cocco completed a high rise office and retail/restaurant building in Arizona with an associated parking garage.

Carl Klinkenberg, E.I.T., Designer

Mr. Klinkenberg is primarily responsible for retail and office design engineering, and shares responsibility of high tech microelectronics work with Mr. Cocco, he has on many occasions provided design work on various projects ranging from medical, semiconductor fabrication plants retrofits, hazardous facilities, restaurants and other hospitality projects. He has spent a great deal of time doing process tool design and field investigation at Intel in Chandler and for TSA equipment installations at several airports.
